From small Acorns grow great asbestos management companies

Despite all the challenges that 2020 has thrown at us we are pleased to be ending the year on a high.

It is with great pleasure that we can say this month Acorn Analytical Services has celebrated its 20th anniversary. The business first set down roots in the north of England two decades ago and myself and fellow director Ian Stone were delighted to launch the organisation’s Southern office in Northampton eight years ago.

During our time delivering accredited services in Northampton we have worked incredibly hard to raise awareness about our business and about asbestos itself. It has become our mission to educate people about the dangers of asbestos so businesses and property owners understand the importance of managing the material properly. The UK Government completely banned the import and use of asbestos in November 1999 but the sad truth is even now around 5,000 people die every year from asbestos-related cancers in this country.

This is why, alongside our day-to-day asbestos management work, we strive so hard to raise awareness through our informative podcasts, blogs and our number one best-selling book, ‘Asbestos The Dark Arts’.

We are proud to say that these activities have furthered asbestos awareness in this country and have helped to establish us in the public’s eye as the go-to asbestos experts. Our burgeoning reputation has led to more and more businesses, educational establishments and individuals turning to us for support.

This growth led to us moving to larger premises in Northampton in 2016 and more recently to the opening of our new branch in Birmingham this year which is being expertly led by our colleague, Joe Gore.

In all our management team has more than 100 years of combined experience of working in the industry which ensures we have the skills and resources to manage asbestos concerns for clients of any size.

We are proud to be specialists in commercial asbestos management, working in partnership with property management businesses and multi-site companies and look forward to helping many more people stay safe from asbestos in the years to come.
