Acorn Analytical Services: An ambitious asbestos management company which continues to grow

Asbestos management company is growing

FROM small acorns strong businesses grow – something that everyone at Acorn Analytical Services is extremely proud of.

Even in turbulent times, Acorn Analytical Services continues to lead the way, offering reliable asbestos management services to a wide range of businesses and organisations – from well-known high street brands to local schools and colleges.

In this blog we’ll take a look at some of our highlights of the year so far as well as explaining more about the services we offer.

Award winners – again!

In June we were delighted to win the Employer of the Year award at the Northamptonshire SME Awards.

We work hard to make Acorn Analytical Services a great place to work for all our staff so this award was really special.

Speaking at the time, Director, Neil Munro said: “We look after our team and invest heavily in training and development. We are also incredibly passionate about what we do as it literally can save lives. Thanks to the culture we have built, the whole team gets behind that ethos and feels a real drive to educate others about the dangers of asbestos, which is still all around us despite the substance being banned for use in construction more than 20 years ago.

“We are proud of the business, team and culture we have built here at Acorn Analytical Services over the last 20 years and this award really recognises that.”

Our investment in training and development continued to pay off more recently, when apprentice, Jake Newell was named as a finalist in the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards, which are due to take place next month.

Since joining us a little over a year ago, Jake has impressed everyone with his talent and enthusiasm for his role.

We can’t wait to see how Jake gets on – we’re all wishing him the very best of luck!

Acorn Analytical Services – a company which keeps on growing

In the past year we’ve been fortunate to start working with some great new clients, as well as developing our relationships with those we have been working with since the very beginning.

Among our clients is Northampton General Hospital and we’re very proud to be working with them on a complete asbestos management survey of the hospital site. The Trust continues to be extremely proactive when it comes to managing asbestos and this next step will see many of their processes moved online.

Elsewhere, we continue to receive some glowing testimonials from our happy customers.

Infrastructure and engineering company, Amey Plc said recently: “Extremely happy with the surveys and removals that were set up at very short notice during the summer and communication of the processes throughout.”

A site manager at Mercure Hotels said: “The staff who attended were really knowledgeable, professional and happy to adjust their surveying to our business requirements. Many thanks to them!”

Staff at the Port of Felixstowe added: “Just wanted to say thank you for arranging the asbestos awareness training today. I have had very positive comments from those who attended the course, and Dan was very good at presenting and relating to the combination of people there.”
