Asbestos demolition surveys are fully intrusive and destructive. To enable the survey to be completed without restrictions some enabling works will be required.

Isolation of electrics, water, gas or any other services may be required. Any plant, equipment or machinery will be required to be decommissioned and made safe. Heating pipes, boiler, tanks, pressure vessels or calorifiers should be drained down.

Due to the destructive nature of these surveys, reoccupation to the areas post survey may not be practicable. As such if these areas are to be preoccupied reinstatement or making good should be allowed for. Asbestos air monitoring should also be considered to satisfy any future occupants that the areas are fit for reoccupation.
