Asbestos isn’t a problem with the Acorn Compliance Antidote

Asbestos isn't a headache with the Acorn Compliance Antidote

AT Acorn Analytical Services we’re probably best known for the work we do supporting businesses with asbestos surveys and asbestos management.

But did you also know that we offer a full package of health and safety services through our Acorn Compliance Antidote?

The antidote is the perfect way to get all your health and safety headaches sorted in one go with our team of professionals firmly in your corner.

Here, we explain more about the antidote and the ways in which Acorn Analytical Services can help you with all your health and safety needs.

Back to basics: What is asbestos?

Asbestos is a dangerous material that was commonly used in building construction, particularly in the years after the Second World War.

If a corporate business in the UK has a building that was constructed before 2000, it may contain asbestos. It can cause serious health problems if it’s not handled properly.

To ensure the safety of employees and customers alike, businesses should use a trusted asbestos consultancy such as Acorn Analytical Services. Our team of consultants will inspect the building and determine if there is any asbestos present. If there is, our consultants will advise you on how to safely remove or manage it.

Using an asbestos consultant such as Acorn is important because it helps to protect the health of everyone who works in or visits the building. It also ensures your business is fully compliant with the latest rules and regulations.

What is the Acorn Compliance Antidote?

Put simply, the Acorn Compliance Antidote is a simple roadmap, taking you from non-compliance to full compliance in five simple steps.

Throughout your journey, you will be supported by a team of asbestos and health and safety professionals who will be on hand to answer all your questions and guide you throughout the process.

We break compliance down into five simple steps:

  • Diagnosis
  • Identification
  • Treatment
  • Education
  • Health Check

Diagnosis is the first stage and forces you to take a close look at where you are and where you need to be.

We’ll make sure we can offer you the services you need and that you’re happy with what we offer, before carrying out a diagnosis audit which will pave the way for the next steps.

Through the identification process, our health and safety consultant will pull together a complete programme of works, designed to fit around your business. That way, any work which needs to be done will be completed in the shortest time possible and with the minimum of disruption.

During step three, treatment, we work to fix your health and safety problems, consulting with you on the findings highlighted during the identification process. We’ll agree a way forward, put together bespoke specifications and manage the tendering process for you. Any works will then be managed to ensure they are carried out to your complete satisfaction.

Raising awareness within your team is a key part of compliance going forward, so education is our important fourth step. Every member of your team will be given bespoke training, with plenty of time for questions and answers to ensure everyone is onboard and fully aware of their obligations.

After that, regular health checks form step five, helping to make sure that all the processes put in place are working and that you stay on track.

For complete peace of mind, the Acorn Compliance Antidote covers all the main areas of health and safety including asbestos, legionella and fire safety.
