Acorn Help Raise Money for Help The Heroes

Commercial Photography from Pete Barnes

Saturday 4th May 2013 saw the second Tough Mudder event at Boughton House, Kettering. Taking part and helping to raise money for Help The Heroes was Acorn Analytical Services Director – Neil Munro.

Tough Mudder® events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, determination, and camaraderie.

Tough Mudder® is a proud supporter of Help for Heroes. Funds raised go toward providing combat stress recovery programs, adaptive sports programmes, benefits counseling and employment services that aid in these soldiers’ transition to civilian life.

Neil Munro said “I’m really pleased that I’ve help raise funds for such a worthy cause. Tough Mudder was a challenge I wanted to take on this year. I’d like to say I trained really hard for it, but that wouldn’t be the truth. Luckily I had good team mates to spur me on round the course. Apart from electric shock obstacles and the torrential hail storm, I have to say I really enjoyed the experience. I will be signing up for next year!”
