Let me first begin by sharing a little about our company and the position we currently have available.

Acorn Analytical Services is a successful Asbestos Consultancy, we service all sectors (domestic, commercial and industrial) across the UK and sometimes internationally too.

We’re one of the last fully independent asbestos consultancies in the UK. Our services include asbestos surveying, testing in our office and site laboratories as well as full project management of asbestos removal projects. We are fully UKAS accredited for our asbestos services as well as UKATA accredited for the training we provide.

Additionally, we assist clients with HAZMAT surveys, sampling and testing of lead, arsenic, anthrax etc plus we also have a new H&S department specialising in all areas of Health and Safety.

The Sales Administrator position fits into the business development team. Our business is to help clients to remove their asbestos and H&S headaches through our consultancy services.

You will be working in our Northampton office providing sales support to the Business Development Team. This is a fast-paced role, where the clients’ requirements are of the highest importance and close liaison with the Client Development Executive will be required.

List of Responsibilities for This Position

    • Answering incoming calls.
    • Gathering necessary information to provide quotations.
    • Preparing and sending quotations via email.
    • Assist with managing the sales administration (including Sales Inbox, Client Portals and Purchase Orders)
    • Calling clients to follow up quotations.
    • Sending customer feedback forms and recording the data.
    • Managing the post-sale PO process upon receipt of orders.

About You

• You’ll be smart and savvy – able to have intelligent conversations;

Our Requirements

• GCSE Grades of C and Above for English and Maths
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Can use computers – word, excel etc, plus any CRM / Database experience would be good.
• An enthusiastic, driven person who is willing and eager to learn.
• Someone who works well within team environments.
• An individual who has the ability to use their own initiative.
• Someone who is friendly and confident, with a proven track record of calling clients.
• A passion for speaking to clients over the telephone with an emphasis of building rapport quickly time and again with new clients.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Excellent organisation and prioritising skills.
• Previous sales / client liaison would be preferred but not essential.

  • £20k – £23k per annum
